THe ones who wired me
CHANGING THE WORLD ONE SOLE AT A TIME.®
I have often said that I won the lottery when God picked out my parents. When it comes to imparting wisdom and providing perspective, my mom and dad are simply the best. My dad's nickname within the family has always been "Steady Eddie." He has told me on countless occasions that, in life, it is important to focus on getting "base hits." "Consistency and steadily moving forward is key Amy. You don't always have to be swinging for the fences to accomplish great things," he points out.
As for my mom, well, she could be the poster child for generosity. She has such a big heart and giving spirit. She always roots for the underdog and has more compassion for people than anyone I've ever met. She is the first to recognize her blessings and just as quick to teach us what an honor it is to be able to share those gifts with others.
So, you are probably wondering what my parents' values have to do with ShoePax®. Well, as an entrepreneur, I am fortunate enough to have an opportunity to put the values they taught me into action. I want ShoePax to be the channel through which we can make a positive impact on people's lives, show compassion for those less fortunate, and share our gifts with others.
My company is small, but I hope that someday we will be able to accomplish great things, and although I'll be keeping my eyes open for an opportunity for us to do something big, in the meantime, I'm going to take dad's advice and focus on CHANGING THE WORLD ONE SOLE AT A TIME.®
